Gunderloy on User Choice

Mike Gunderloy‘s book Coder to Developer was one of my top 10 for 2004 (and the sequel, Developer to Designer, looks every bit as good). He has just posted an article on “User Choice, Customization, and Confusion” that says a lot of sensible things.
I wonder how many of Gunderloy’s techie readers have a clue about his importance in alternative/DIY/countercultural circles in the pre-web 80′s? Check out the Wikipedia article on Factsheet Five, and imagine a world where nearly the only alternative to the corporate media was hand-photocopied and sent through the mail, and Mike’s zine was the key to it all…
