The Third Bit

Surely changed MY world — I got a copy even though I didn’t own a computer that could run it, used it on computers owned by my employer of the time (IBM Research), ended up as the go-to guy on the nascent internal Turbo Pascal “forum” (newsgroup, mailing list…) — I still self-identified as a HW guy at the time, but through that $50 investment I became widely known in IBM as a SW guy instead… that basically defined the next quarter century of my career. All hail Kahn!-)
