The drproject.org domain is up for renewal—but we’re not going to. Learned a lot from the project, and I think students did too, but in retrospect, I should have just put everyone to work directly on Trac (the way David Humphrey’s students work directly on Firefox), rather than forking. “I’ll look for you if I’m ever back this way…“
Sad indeed. Having gone through a couple of iterations of DrProject in 49x projects and Summer Of Code it’s sad to see it go. Rest assured that I, and I think most other students that participated in the project, took away lots of useful lessons from it.
The domain maybe going away but my fond memories working on DrProject shall always remain.
