		<description>I can definitely attest to this - at least half of my interviews, maybe more, revolve around the volunteer work I&#039;ve done as part of the IEEE. Getting involved in extracurricular activities can show motivation, interest, organizational ability and leadership qualities.

Also, if you stick with it long enough, put in the time commitment and join the right societies, there&#039;s opportunity for travel, too.</description>
