Madeleine Erica Wilson

March 31st, 2007

Our first child, Madeleine Erica Wilson, came into the world at half past midnight on Saturday, March 31. She’s a redhead, just like her mom, and has one, two, or ten of all appropriate body parts. We’re very happy — exhausted, but happy. May she love her life as much as we love her.

Does this mean the term ‘gregling’ for 49xers will need to be modified to connote lack of biological relation, so as not to confuse with the introduction of a first order gregling?

Gregory and Sadie. This is a scolding.
Okay, first of all, huge congratulations of course.
But now to the scolding: Whatever happened to me being your favourite neice (Greg)? Or maybe even favourite neice/nephew? … or did I loose that title as soon as I started speaking up and being cheeky with you? BECAUSE…you TOTALLY could have named her Madeleine (which I love, and appreciate you using the french spelling) EMILY Wilson, instead of Erica. Because then you’d still get the MEW thing, and you’d have part of the Wilson side in the name (the last name doesn’t count), and I would love you even more because it’s MY middle name too. And I checked, there’s no rule saying you can’t have two children in the family with the same middle name. So THERE.
I wish I could come and visit my new red-headed cousin, but they insist on keeping me in this …um…ok, i’ll be polite and stick with “hospital”, for a while longer.
All of my love to my new Toronto family. Sadie, I’m truly glad you’re doing well.

    Loves,
    Allie.
