How to Not Be Wrong About AI

Posted

My post Twelve Ways to Be Wrong About AI-Assisted Coding seemed to hit a nerve, so I’ve put together material for a workshop on How to Not Be Wrong About AI, As its blurb says:

This tutorial is a short introduction to research methods you can use to figure out whether AI-based programming tools are helping your team or not. Even if you don’t do such studies yourself, we hope that understanding how they work will help you decide which claims about them to trust.

It includes a partially-annotated bibliography and further reading; my thanks to everyone who contributed entries. If you’re interested in taking part in the first run, please reach out.
